The studio is set in three acres of glorious garden overlooking the Trent & Mersey canal with colouful narrowboats moored at the bottom of the garden. A visit to River View is an experience in itself and sketching and painting sessions in the garden can also be arranged but naturally is dependent upon our famous British weather!
I aim to build your confidence in the use of your materials and show you how to develop your skills and bring out your hidden talent. By showing you new techniques, I will guide you to produce a painting you will be proud of.
Choice of Acrylic workshops
Acrylics 1 - Discover the versatility of acrylics. Explore different techniques, mediums, composition and paint a landscape on canvas to take home.
Acrylics 2 - Representational - Thick or thin? Use water colour techiniques or impasto. How to develop your sketches or work from photos to produce the best composition.
Acrylics 3 - Florals - Colours, tones and textures to bring your florals to life.
Acrylics 4 - Abstract - be experimental and have fun with different techniques and tools.
Please be aware that Acylic paint does not wash out so please wear suitable or bring protective clothing.
Landscapes in watercolours - Beginners & improvers, welcome. Improve your composition and perspective, skies and reflections while painting a landscape to take home.
Half Day sessions for small groups 10am -1pm £30 including materials + tea/coffee
